Skin Care for the Spring: 5 Tips for Radiant Skin

It’s finally time: Spring is here! So it’s high time to get rid of the last traces of winter – on your face as well. After the winter, skin is often very stressed and needs to be regenerated. But at same time its needs also change during the transitional period. So at the start of spring, there are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to skin care...

 

1. Exfoliate your skin

Your skin needs a fresh start now – a spring cleaning! Get rid of dead cells and dry skin flakes. It gives your skin a healthy new glow while unclogging pores and stimulating circulation. But be careful: Use a mild exfoliator, especially if you have itchy or sensitive skin. Your skin is probably already stressed and irritated from the rigours of winter and should not be irritated more.
Do you want to cleanse your skin especially thoroughly and do something good for yourself? Reach for a cleansing mask or a facial massager and treat yourself to a little time-out for wellness!

 

2. Use light care products

During the winter, your skin needs nourishing care – heating, cold and temperature fluctuations dry it out and irritate it. Moisturising is essential for healthy skin even in spring – but the demands change with the season. During the spring, your skin needs less intensive care: formulas that are too rich tend to cause oily skin. So use skin care products that have a low fat content but more moisturising ingredients such as hyaluronic acid.

 

3. Protect your skin from UV rays

Finally, the sun is back! That’s great for the mind – but not so great for the skin. So don’t forget to wear sunscreen so you can enjoy the first rays of sun without worrying. There are special face creams with SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Conveniently, many day creams already contain sun protection and care for and protect your skin at the same time.

 

4. Soothe irritated skin

Who hasn’t experienced this? Winter is over and you still have dry, itchy skin. Give your skin the gift of relaxation and pamper it with products that soothe redness and nourish dry patches. Care products with vitamin E are particularly great for this

 

5. Spring cleaning: take care of your bathroom cabinet too

It’s not just your skin that needs to be cleansed of toxins! Clean out and say goodbye to old care products, and clean your cosmetic brushes and other beauty tools thoroughly! Your skin will thank you. And you’d much rather reach into a tidy bathroom cabinet, wouldn’t you?
