The elmex® Cavity Protection Professional Toothpaste fights cavities before they can develop. The unique sugar acid neutraliser neutralises harmful sugar acids directly in the dental plaque, helping to protect the enamel from acid attacks.
Sugar acids are produced when bacteria in dental plaque metabolise sugar from food. These acids can attack the enamel and lead to a loss of minerals.
The combination of sugar acid neutraliser, calcium and fluoride supports the remineralisation of tooth enamel. Compared to a toothpaste with 1450 ppm fluoride (sodium monofluorophosphate), 4 times more minerals are returned to weakened teeth.
