How to use
- The hair should be clean, dry and free of tangles before use. Place the appliance with the stand on a smooth, heat-resistant, flat surface and plug it in. Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the appliance switches on and the "ON" indicator lights up. Adjust the temperature with the left and right buttons to achieve the desired heat. For healthy styling, Mermade recommends the temperature setting of 180°C, unless you have very straight/thick hair.
- The key to long-lasting, luscious waves is to prepare your hair properly. Give your hair a heat protectant to protect the strands from heat and give the hair extra hold.
- Start by dividing the hair into sections. Smaller sections make for more defined waves. Start with one section at a time at the top near the hairline and clamp the hair down, making sure the hair is evenly placed in the coils. Be careful not to touch the scalp with the device. Hold the appliance for 2-5 seconds. Hold for a shorter time if the hair is easy to curl or if you want less defined waves. Once you have released the first clamp, clamp the top drum of the waver back onto the last wave bend. Overlap each wave with the wave bar to create a seamless wave from the roots to the tips. Repeat this process all the way to the ends on the entire head.
- When you're done waving, make sure the hair is completely cool before touching it to allow it to set. For an effortless beachy wave, brush out the wave with our Mermade brush or comb through.
- Finish with an additional spray of Mermade Mist for hold and shine, or a flexible spray or lacquer spray for more hold.
- To switch off, press and hold the off button until "OFF" is displayed. For your safety, the appliance switches off automatically after 60 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before packing it away. Wipe the appliance after use to avoid product deposits on the appliance.
