How to use
- Hair should be clean, dry and free of tangles before use. Place the appliance with the selected attachment on the supplied heating mat to avoid heating or burning your surface.
- Hold down the power button for a long time to switch the appliance on or off. Press and hold the power button briefly to increase or decrease the heat. The lights flash while the appliance heats up to the desired heat. For healthy styling, we recommend the heat setting of 180°C/360°F. The lights will flash until the appliance has reached the desired temperature.
- Start by dividing the hair into sections with our Grip Clips. Smaller sections make for more defined waves and curls. Spray each section generously with a heat protectant, such as Mermade Mist. Be careful not to touch the scalp with the appliance. Hold the appliance for 2-5 seconds. Hold for a shorter time if the hair is easy to curl or if you want less defined waves or curls.
- Wrap the hair around the shaft with the curling iron. Use a glove on the hand you are wrapping the hair with to protect your hand from the heat. For the wave wand, simply clamp each section of hair and continue working your way down each wave curve.
- When you've finished waving or curling, make sure the hair is completely cool before touching it to allow it to set. For a beachy look, brush out the waves or curls.
- Finish with an additional spray of Mermade Mist for hold and shine or a flexible, workable spray for more hold.
- To switch off, press and hold the off button until the light goes out. For your safety, the appliance switches off automatically after 60 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before packing it away. Be sure to wipe the appliance down after use to prevent the product.
