Bepanthen PRO Hydrogel is a burn and wound gel for moist wound treatment and is suitable for small wounds such as burns, cuts, scrapes, abrasions, chafing, and skin cracks.

For good wound healing, it is advisable to keep the wound moist during the healing process, e.g. with a hydrogel. A certain amount of moisture is crucial for wound healing as it provides an ideal environment for increased proliferation of skin cells (new skin layer).

A slightly acidic pH value promotes antimicrobial defence by reducing bacterial growth.

Bepanthen PRO Hydrogel consists of the following ingredients: Acidic colloidal carbomer, carnosine, water, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.

Bepanthen PRO Hydrogel has the following special properties:

• Working principle: Intelligent hydrogel that normalises the moisture content in the wound bed. Thanks to an acidic carbomer, a slightly acidic wound environment is created, reducing the risk of microbe proliferation in the wound. Thus, the hydrogel indirectly promotes the natural wound healing process by controlling the moisture content and pH value at the wound site. The risk of infection is minimised, and the risk of scar formation reduced.
