The Bepanthen PRO Scar Gel is used for the therapy of fresh scars after wound closure as well as for the treatment of older scars (up to 2 years) after an injury, burn, or operation.
A scar-free wound healing is only possible with superficial injuries. If only the epidermis is damaged, as in superficial scratches or abrasions, the skin can completely regenerate. However, in many bleeding injuries or surgeries, deeper skin layers are also affected. In this case, the damaged tissue needs to be replaced, resulting in a scar.
This scar tissue differs from healthy skin by the absence of sebaceous and sweat glands, hair follicles, and pigment cells. Additionally, scar tissue is significantly less elastic than healthy skin and cannot retain moisture adequately.
Bepanthen PRO Scar Gel with Massage Roller:

How to use
- First roll, then apply cream: Massage the scar tissue gently twice a day with the massage roller (a few minutes are sufficient).
- Then apply the Bepanthen PRO Scar Gel with your finger so that a thin film is formed.
- Allow the gel to dry completely (e.g. before getting dressed).
Apply Bepanthen PRO Scar Gel as early as possible, but only after the wound has closed. Treatment with the Scar Gel should be done twice a day and for at least two months.
Tip: Once the gel has dried, you can easily apply makeup over it.
Please note: Do not use the massage roller until at least one month after the wound has closed, as the wound may still be too sensitive. Until then, please only use the Scar Gel!
