This toothbrush is simply a stroke of luck for people with toothbrush damage: Brushing teeth with pressure is almost no longer possible. Why? The round handle has no thumb recess and encourages a fingertip grip. It is nearly impossible to use the fist grip, and that helps to reduce pressure to a minimum.
By the way, this makes the ATA the ideal learning toothbrush: The technique of brushing each tooth individually is trained as well as handling soft bristles without pressure. And once the pressure is gone, the gums can recover and even regenerate. Excellent for use as a children's toothbrush.
