Salicylic acid

This multifunctional ingredient addresses many of the systemic causes of acne. For decades, dermatologists have prescribed salicylic acid as a gentle exfoliant and anti-inflammatory agent. The antimicrobial properties of salicylic acid make it an extremely effective treatment for breakouts. It is capable of penetrating the pore lining and providing exfoliation both in the pores and on the skin surface, effectively reducing breakouts, including blackheads. It is also well documented that salicylic acid can improve skin thickness, barrier function, and collagen production.

Chamomile

Chamomile has a soothing effect on the skin, and its anti-inflammatory properties can help to reduce redness in acne-prone skin. Chamomile has excellent healing properties and can block irritants to reduce skin damage and slow the aging process.
