The service lasts up to 6 months and grows out softly – for a smooth result with a gentle hair feel.
Perform is available in three versions:
- N for normal to resistant hair
- C for coloured hair
- S for sensitive hair with a maximum of 50% highlights
Check the hair condition before the straightening service and select the appropriate version. It is recommended to test a strand before the treatment.

It is recommended to test a strand before application. - Step 1: Smoothing cream
Use non-metallic tools. Wear gloves. Apply the product to dry hair using a brush and bowl. Start at the nape, applying strand by strand, leaving about 0.5 cm distance from the scalp each time. Comb through once and ensure even distribution in the hair. Make sure the hair remains smooth during the processing time. Do not apply heat and do not cover the hair. - Processing time:
Fine hair, normal hair, strong hair:
N: 15 / 20 / 25 min.
C: 5 / 10 / 15 min.
S: 5 / 10 / 15 min.
Please note that the processing time for an even treatment of the whole head is short. Quick application minimises this effect. Check the result after the shortest recommended processing time on a test strand. Wrap a strand around a tail comb tip and check if it holds. Once the desired result is achieved, comb the hair one last time before rinsing. Emulsify with a little water, rinse thoroughly and squeeze out excess moisture with a towel. - Step 2: Heat application
Blow-dry the hair smooth under tension with a brush. When the hair is completely dry, straighten strands up to 1 cm wide with a ceramic straightener until the desired smoothing result is achieved. It is also possible to perform the treatment without heat application, e.g. if the hair is very short or only a light smoothing effect is desired. In this case, proceed directly to the "Fixation" step after rinsing out the smoothing cream. - Step 3: Fixation
Perform Straightening Neutralizer is ready to use, do not dilute with water. Wear gloves. Use a similar or slightly larger amount of fixation than the smoothing cream used previously. Apply the fixation strand by strand with a bowl and brush or with an applicator bottle and ensure even distribution in the hair. Comb the hair smooth and leave the fixation on for 10 minutes.
Important: The hair must remain smooth during fixation. Rinse the fixation thoroughly. Apply a permanent wave after-treatment or a conditioner, leave on for 3 to 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Style the hair as usual. - Important information for clients:
Do not wash hair for the next 48 hours. During this period, do not tie hair up, use hairpins or clips, or tie a ponytail. - Root treatment:
For regrown hair (at least 4 cm), treat only the root area. The Wella Professionals Nutri-Enrich Mask can be used to protect sensitive areas during treatment. - Important information:
Do not use the product on hair treated with hair dyes containing metallic salts or with alkali relaxers containing sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide or guanidine carbonate. If repeated smoothing treatment is required, there should be at least one week between treatments.
