Lactoferrin is a transport protein that binds iron and naturally occurs in milk. Lactoferrin from cow’s milk is used not only in breast milk substitutes, but also as a novel food ingredient in food supplements.
- In addition to 200 mg of lactoferrin per daily serving, the lactoferrin capsules also provide micronised iron and vitamin C, thereby forming an iron transport matrix, as vitamin C increases iron absorption.
- Iron supports the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, as well as normal oxygen transport in the body. It also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
