How to use
Getting started
Your rayne disc is waiting for you in ready-to-use packaging – hygienically cleaned and ready to go.
- Simply unpack and get started.
- Wash your hands, take a deep breath and relax – you’ve got this!
- To insert, fold the disc into a figure 8, with the tab pointing away from your body. When folded, it has the size and shape of a tampon – no complicated folding techniques. Easy and intuitive.
- And don’t worry: if you’re not using it directly from the packaging, simply boil it for 2–3 minutes or clean it with our Disc Cleaner.
Insertion
There are 3 key body positions that make insertion easier: squatting, raising your legs, and sitting on the toilet.
- Relax and insert the back rim of the disc into your vagina (tab pointing forwards and away from your body) and push the disc as far back as possible with your index finger towards the coccyx.
- To position the disc correctly, push the front rim upwards and behind the pubic bone! It gets easier with every cycle. Give yourself some time and keep at it!
Wearing
The disc is in. Whoop! If you’ve inserted it correctly, you shouldn’t feel anything and will likely forget it’s there. You can leave it in for up to 12h without needing to think about it. The disc has a capacity of 5–6 tampons. No worries even with a heavy flow. Thanks to the self-emptying function, you’ll never have to worry about how to empty the disc when you’re on the go.
Removal
- To remove, first wash your hands and then use your finger to grab the tab of the rayne disc.
- Slowly pull it out with one finger. Thanks to the finger tab, removal is easy with one finger and without any mess.
- If you still feel a little unsure, remove the disc under a warm shower.
Cleaning & care
During your period, you can first rinse the rayne disc with water and then clean it with Disc Cleaner. The cleaning spray has been specially developed for gentle care and keeps your disc hygienically clean.
Between cycles, we recommend additionally boiling the disc in boiling water for 3–5 minutes. After drying, it’s best to store it in a cool, dry place.
Make sure the disc is completely dry.
Use only during menstruation.
The rayne disc is not a contraceptive and does not protect against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections.
