L-Glutamine Powder
Details
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. In total, several hundred different amino acids are known, but only 21 of them are involved in the formation of the body's own proteins – these are called proteinogenic amino acids. Of these 21 amino acids, 8 are essential, which means they must be supplied through the diet as the body cannot produce them itself. Examples of essential amino acids are L-isoleucine, L-leucine, and L-tryptophan.
Other amino acids, such as L-glutamine, belong to the non-essential amino acids. The body can usually produce them itself and also absorb them through food. Animal sources of L-glutamine include: meat, fish, eggs, dairy products (e.g. cheese, yoghurt), plant sources include: legumes, tofu, nuts, whole grain products, cabbage (e.g. white cabbage, broccoli).
