Silvia Troska was already running her own beauty salon in 1982, when she came across a groundbreaking technique during a trip to the USA. Artificial fingernails, which were not glued on, but applied to the natural nail in a special mixture. The result was impressive: not only did it seem much more natural, but it was also perfect for clients with short, brittle nails. A new business idea was born. Silvia Troska was so enthusiastic about this novelty that she absolutely wanted to introduce these products in Germany as well. 

She had herself trained on site and filled her bags with the necessary equipment. The new technology hits Germany like a bomb. The demand is so great that Silvia Troska and her husband set up a wholesale business and offer training for specialists.

Business couldn't be better for Silvia Troska, but privately, things are going through a severe crisis. Her marriage breaks up and a long and difficult fight for custody of the children and the joint company follows. In the end she loses both and is faced with nothing. Silvia Troska, however, does not give up and continues to fight. With the help of friends she founds her own company, Alessandro Cosmetics GmbH, in 1989. 

Despite her great success, she is still not completely satisfied with her range of products, because artificial nails have one small flaw: the chemicals they contain have a strong effect on the natural nail. With the development of an acid-free synthetic material called Soft Gel, which is gentle on the natural nail, she has thus achieved another milestone. It secures exclusive rights and thus revolutionizes the cosmetics industry.
