  • Natural Nail Preparation:

    1. Shape and smooth the nail edges with a glass file.

    2. Carefully remove the cuticles from the nail surface using cuticle remover and a cuticle pusher.

    3. Thoroughly check the nail surface again for cuticle residue and debris by pulling up the nail folds (sidewalls of the nails) with your fingers.

    4. Remove impurities on the nail surface by rubbing the nail with Scrub Fresh and a lint-free pad.

  • Apply a Base Coat:

Tip: apply the base coat first on 4 fingers (without thumb). For the toes, you can do all 5 nails in a row.

    1. Shake the bottle before use, so the ingredients mix.

    2. Apply a thin layer on the nail surface and nail tip.

    3. Remove the brush and wipe it on the edge of the bottle to remove excess base coat.

    4. Place the brush lengthwise on the center of the nail surface, slightly away from the cuticle.

    5. Now carefully push the brush first in the direction of the cuticle and then glide along one side to the tip of the nail.

    6. Lift the brush and place it on the other side of the nail. Paint the middle area of the nail surface in this way as well.

    7. Make sure that the nail tip is carefully sealed. This is the only way to ensure the long durability of CND™ Shellac™.

    8. Dry the 4 nails of the hand or all 5 toenails simultaneously for 30 seconds in the UV lamp or 10 seconds in the LED lamp.

    9. Proceed in the same way with the remaining thumb and then with the other hand / foot.

  • LED Lamp or UV Lamp?

For a manicure with CND Shellac you will need a lamp under which you let each coat dry. You can use a UV lamp or an LED lamp for this purpose. However, we recommend the use of an LED lamp, because it cures the respective layer completely after only 10 to 60 seconds. While this can take 1 to 2 minutes under UV radiation.

  • Removing CND Shellac:

    1. Wash your hands or feet with soap and warm water. Dry them well. Disinfect the nails with Scrub Fresh.

    2. Wrap each individual finger or toe with a Remover Wrap.

    3. Soak the pad on the Remover Wrap with Remover Liquid and fix it to the finger. Make sure that the wrap fits well and leave it for 10 minutes.

    4. Now pull the Remover Wrap from the finger with a slight twisting motion.

    5. If necessary, you can remove product residues by carefully rubbing with an orange wood stick. Be careful not to damage the outermost layer of the nail surface.

    6. To completely remove any product residue, rub the finger with a lint-free graham pad soaked in Remover Liquid.
