Why Sun Protection Factor?
There are three types of UV radiation: UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. They differ in their wavelength and penetrate the skin to varying depths. Long-wave UVA radiation and short-wave UVB rays reach the Earth. UVA rays have less energy than UVB rays but penetrate into the dermis.
