The maca root has been cultivated in the high altitudes of the Peruvian Andes for approximately 2000 years. For Raab Bio Maca Capsules Premium, only roots from Peru, grown at over 3000 m altitude, are used. The maca roots are dried fresh after harvest and then finely ground. The maca root powder contains secondary plant compounds, the glucosinolates (160 mg / 100 g or 4 mg / 5 capsules).
