Organic Barley Grass Juice Powder

What is barley grass? Barley grass is the young leaf of the barley plant (Hordeum vulgare). For our organic barley grass juice powder, only young plant material from certified organic cultivation is used. Barley grass is characterised by its fine texture and mild green flavour and is one of the classic green plants.

Extraction as organic juice powder: For our organic barley grass juice powder, the fresh plants are pressed immediately after harvest. Only the pure plant juice is used, which is then dried in a complex, gentle process. Insoluble plant fibres are removed in the process. This results in a concentrated, intensely green organic juice powder with a fine texture and good solubility. Less than 45 minutes pass from harvest to finished juice powder – a crucial factor for consistently high quality.

Origin Utah: The organic barley grass grows in Utah on soils that have been mineral-rich over millions of years due to marine deposits and volcanic activity. Combined with the dry climate and intense sunlight, these conditions are reflected in the colour, purity and consistency of the organic barley grass juice powder. This origin forms the basis for the consistently high quality of our product.

Organic juice powder vs. plant powder:  Plant powder is made by drying and grinding the entire plant, including insoluble plant fibres. For organic juice powder, the plant is pressed and only the plant juice is further processed. Insoluble plant fibres are removed. Compared to plant powder, this process requires many times more fresh grass as only the juice is used. The result is a fine, concentrated organic juice powder that mixes well in liquids and clearly differs from ground plant powder.
