Extracts from dead animals have always been avoided, and whenever possible, plants from controlled organic cultivation or wild collection are used. Likewise, raw materials from genetically modified organisms are consistently excluded.

All Annemarie Börlind products are vegetarian and largely vegan – in exceptional cases, natural substances like beeswax are used due to their special properties, if they cannot be replaced. The products are clearly labeled on the packaging. Silicones and mineral oil derivatives (such as parabens or paraffins) are consistently avoided.
