Signal – every smile counts

For over 50 years, Signal has been one of the leading manufacturers of dental care products in Germany and Switzerland, providing a healthy and carefree smile for its customers through innovation, expertise, and passion.

In 1961, Signal introduced the first striped toothpaste in Germany and Switzerland. How these stripes get into the tube initially posed the greatest bathroom mystery for many consumers.

The solution is quite simple: The Signal tube is filled in 2 steps, first with the red cream and then with the white cream. When you squeeze the tube, the white cream moves through the tube neck, with a thin wall separating the two creams. Just before the tube opening, the red stripes are laid on the white cream. Because the pressure always expands evenly in all directions, you can squeeze the Signal tube wherever you want – it always works.

Since 1994, Signal has also been a popular companion for children, and since 2006 for teenagers as well, providing fun and joy in brushing their teeth with age-appropriate fluoride content. In 2009, Signal White Now products, the most innovative products by Signal to date, hit the market.
