How do curls last longer with a straightener?
Wash your hair the day before. Curls that are styled immediately after washing don't last as long because the cuticle is closed. You can also use a curl shampoo when washing your hair to support the elasticity of your hair and use a styling product such as mousse, curl cream or styling cream to hold your curls in place. Important: Don't forget heat protection!
It is best to divide your hair into different sections. Start curling at the bottom and section off the hair above. The strands must not be too thick so that the heat from the curling iron reaches all the hair. The lighter the curl, the longer it will last. Once you have formed a curl, you should let it cool down before continuing. Cooling is an important step in making your curls last longer. -
How do I straighten my hair without damaging it?
The be-all and end-all: Always apply heat protection before using the straightener. Hair should also be completely dry before straightening.
- Fine hair is easy to shape, but is also particularly susceptible to damage. Here, 150 degrees is often enough.
- For normal hair, 180 degrees is ideal.
- Thick hair is more robust and can best withstand 200 degrees.

Which appliance do I use to curl my hair?
There is no definitive answer here, as it depends on several factors. What kind of waves do you want to create and which appliance suits you best. Whether curling iron, waving iron or straightener: You can create beautiful curls with all 3 tools.
-
Which tool can I use to add volume to my hair?
You can achieve beautiful volume with a round brush and a hairdryer. First, however, you should blow-dry your wet hair upside down and brush your hair against the direction of growth. Once the hair is a little dry, wind the brush strand by strand, pulling the hair tightly away from the head each time and then rolling it up under tension.
Tip: Hot air brushes, which combine a round brush and hairdryer, save time and are easier to use. They can create the perfect, voluminous blow dry like fresh from the hairdresser.

Which hairdryer is suitable for which hair type?
Long and thick hair:
For long and/or thick hair, you need a strong hairdryer.Fine, thin hair:
Heat protection is particularly important for fine and/or thin hair so that the hair is not too stressed. A hairdryer with integrated heat regulation is therefore best.Curly hair:
For very wavy hair or beautiful curls, we recommend a model with a volume diffuser. -
Beach waves with straighteners or curling irons?
We recommend using a straightening iron. And this is how it works:
Pin the dry top coat and section off a strand.
Place the straightener close to the roots so that the tip of the straightener is pointing downwards and let it glide towards the ends with a slight twisting motion.
Once you have got the hang of it, work through the individual sections one by one. If you change the direction of rotation from time to time, you will get more movement in your hair.
Tip before use: Apply heat protection to the hair.
Tip after application: Create the perfect finish with a light hairspray.
