Bromelain is an enzyme that occurs naturally in high concentrations in pineapples. It is extracted from its flesh, as well as from its seeds and leaves.
Use:
The gentle enzymes from pineapple have excellent exfoliating properties. The breaking down of binding proteins (= proteolysis) and the resulting gentle desquamation of the skin clarifies the skin's appearance without irritating and further stressing the skin with mechanical peeling particles.
