- Growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy thanks to folic acid.
- Normal formation of red blood cells and oxygen transport in the body thanks to iron.
- Normal development of the brain and eyes in the foetus and breastfed infant thanks to DHA.
For this, in addition to the recommended daily dose of Omega-3 fatty acids (i.e. 250 mg DHA + EPA), 200 mg DHA should be supplied daily by the mother – for normal production of thyroid hormones thanks to iodine.
