Helps protect the scalp

In Scalp Protect mode, a proximity sensor automatically measures the distance, reducing the heat automatically as the device approaches the hair. The hairdryer then maintains a comfortable target temperature of 55°C consistently – for gentle drying, even close to the scalp. Scalp Protect mode is compatible with the gentle air attachment and styling concentrator.

Lightweight, powerful motor

The Dyson Hyperdymium motor (V9) is fast, light, and compact. It operates at up to 100,000 revolutions per minute and moves 13 litres of air through the device every second.

The Air Multiplier technology, combined with a powerful motor, creates a powerful airflow for quick drying.

Pauses styling when you do

The automatic pause function utilises a motion sensor that detects when the hairdryer is set down during styling – or when, for example, you pause to section your hair. The device then automatically deactivates the heating element and reduces the airflow and noise.

Intelligent attachments

The five intelligent attachments are suitable for various styling needs and hair types. They have pre-set airflow and temperature settings that can also be individually adjusted within an optimised range. The device uses a detection sensor to automatically recognise the different attachments as they are fitted and switch to the last used settings.

The diffuser for waves and curls offers 2 modes. In the dome mode, the air is directed through the hair for more defined natural waves or curls. The diffuser mode, on the other hand, provides more volume at the roots to give natural curls and frizzy hair more structure.
