Getting Started
Your rayne disc awaits you in a ready-to-use package – hygienically cleaned and ready to use immediately.
- Simply unpack and get started.
- Wash your hands, take a deep breath and relax – you can do this!
- To insert, fold the disc into a figure 8, with the tab pointing away from the body. Folded, it has the size and shape of a tampon – without any complicated folding techniques. Easy and intuitive.
- And don’t worry: if you don’t use it straight from the package, just boil it for 2–3 minutes or clean it with our Disc Cleaner.
Inserting
There are 3 important body positions that make insertion easier: squatting, raising your legs, and sitting on the toilet.
- Relax and insert the back edge of the disc into your vagina (tab pointing forwards and away from the body) and push the disc as far back as possible towards the tailbone with your index finger.
- To position the disc correctly, push the front edge upwards and behind the pubic bone! It gets easier with each cycle. Give yourself some time and keep at it!
Wearing
The disc is in. Whoop! If you have inserted it correctly, you shouldn’t feel anything and will probably forget it’s there. You can leave it in for up to 12 hours without having to worry. The disc has a capacity of 5-6 tampons. No worries even with heavy flow. Thanks to the self-emptying function, you never have to worry about how to empty the disc when you’re out and about.
Removing
- To remove, first wash your hands and then grasp the tab of the rayne disc with your finger.
- Slowly pull it out with one finger. Thanks to the finger tab, you can remove it with one finger and without any mess.
- If you still feel a bit unsure, remove the disc under a warm shower.
Cleaning & Care
During your period, you can first rinse the rayne disc with water and then clean it with the Disc Cleaner. The cleaning spray has been specially developed for gentle care and keeps your disc hygienically clean. Between cycles, we recommend boiling the disc for 3–5 minutes. After drying, store it in a cool, dry place. Make sure the disc is completely dry. Use only during menstruation. The rayne disc is not a contraceptive and does not protect against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections.
