History of Melvita
Melvita was founded in 1983 by Bernard Chevilliat, a beekeeper and biologist, in the Ardèche and is one of the first pioneering brands of organic cosmetics in France. Love of life is embedded in the history and the name of Melvita: “mel” means honey and “vita” means life in Latin.
Product Commitments
Melvita focuses on a better future through organic and natural cosmetics. The company aims to make natural ingredients with the highest quality active compounds accessibles through its certified organic products. Each ingredient is carefully selected, respecting biodiversity, the Earth, natural spaces, and the people who cultivate them.
All harmful ingredients and synthetic fragrances are avoided. The formulations contain on average 99.6% natural ingredients and 44.8% organic ingredients.
