Burgerstein Iron Plus contains organic iron and copper supplemented with vitamins A, B1, B6, B12 as well as pantothenic acid and folic acid. Burgerstein Iron Plus is well tolerated and is sensibly taken regularly and long-term. The contained vitamin C increases iron absorption and copper contributes to a normal iron transport in the body.
For whom is Burgerstein Iron Plus particularly suitable?
- Women during menstruation: Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin.
- Pregnant women and women of childbearing potential: Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin and supports normal oxygen transport in the body. During pregnancy, the need for iron is increased. Folate/folic acid contributes to normal blood formation and serves the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Supplemental intake of folate increases folate levels in pregnant women. Low folate level in pregnant women is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the growing fetus. The positive effect is achieved with a supplementary intake of 400 µg daily for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
- Athletes: Iron contributes to the normal functioning of energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. In addition, it serves the normal transport of oxygen in the body.
