An interplay of high-quality blade material, the perfect grind and the optimum firing temperature in the hardening furnace make up the specially shaped cutting edge of the Double Sharpener For Wooden Pencils. Both thick and thin cosmetic wooden pencils can be cut particularly finely and precisely with the very sharp blade – without splintering wood.

The transparent sheath enables precise sharpening: finally, no more "over-sharpening" and annoying lead breakage! If something has gone wrong, the included cleaning pencil can be used to quickly and easily remove sharpener residue on the cutting edge.

Packaging
Consists of at least 85% MATER-BI material and about 15% bioplastic (PLA and Bio- Polyester), which guarantees the stability of the material. Main ingredients for the production of MATER-BI are corn starch and oils from non-genetically modified plants, which are grown in Europe in a traditional way. It should be noted that EU-wide only 1% of the total corn starch is used for bioplastics.

In terms of agricultural land used, less than 0.02% of arable land worldwide is used for bioplastics production. To produce the raw materials for 1 kg of Mater-Bi, on average only 15-30 liters of water are needed to irrigate the plants – an amount that is actually of minimal importance to the Earth's water resources. Reduced carbon dioxide emissions are also a given, since no crude oil is used, as in the production of conventional plastics. The material of the sharpener is biodegradable. The blades of the sharpener are made of high quality high carbon steel and not stainless steel. Thus, they rust and disintegrate.
