The name Bimbosan is a combination of Bimbo = Italian abbreviation for bambino (child) and sano = healthy.

Bimbosan not only relies on Swiss quality for milk: All Bimbosan products have been manufactured in Switzerland for over 90 years, and we work almost exclusively with Swiss companies wherever possible.

Therefore, Bimbosan is not only good for babies but also for the Swiss economy. It is wonderful that Bimbosan can continue to contribute to the prosperity of both in the future.

Swiss milk

For Bimbosan, only the best Swiss milk is good enough. All cow milk-based Bimbosan infant milk formulas are made from milk sourced from Swiss farms engaged in sustainable production and have been produced in Switzerland for Switzerland for more than 90 years.

What makes Swiss milk particularly valuable:

• In Switzerland, the favorable grassland (80% of agricultural land) allows for high-quality milk production with good animal health and minimal use of concentrated feed.
• The Swiss grassland offers a balanced mix of grasses, clover, and other herbs. As a result, Swiss farmers use less nitrogen fertilizer than in other European countries where primarily pure grass crops are grown.
• Swiss cows receive 90% local feed. Most of this is roughage, such as grass and hay of excellent quality.

Protect, preserve, promote: Bimbosan is passionately committed to the protection of bees and the preservation of biodiversity. Bimbosan's milk suppliers are guardians of biodiversity and are actively engaged in protecting bees and promoting species diversity.

Over 90 years in the service of families and children

Whole generations in Switzerland have grown up with Bimbosan. The Bimbosan company was founded in 1932 in Bern. It moved to Ostermundingen in 1954, to Welschenrohr in 1983, and has been based in Hochdorf since 2021.

For over 90 years, Bimbosan has been doing the same thing: Producing products of exceptionally high quality and distributing them at fair prices.
