Teeth whitening at home: 5 ways to a radiant smile!

White teeth - who doesn't dream of that? Coffee, tea, nicotine, but also fruit juices or curry can tarnish the radiant smile, literally. Professional treatment at the dentist can help. But this can quickly become expensive... Fortunately, there are various ways in which you can carry out tooth whitening quite simply and safely at home (or even on the move)!

Whitening teeth sounds like a time-consuming procedure and not something you can do while brushing your teeth every day or even on the go. But that's exactly where many tooth whiteners for home come in: they are included in toothpaste, for example, or work with discreet whitening strips or as mouth rinses for in between. They gently neutralise discolouration over a longer period of time. If you want faster and more intensive results, you can invest in a set with LED lamp and do tooth whitening at home. Discover the right method for your radiant smile now!

Whitening Strips: easy application and fast results

Whitening strips (for example, from Alpine White or smilepen) are a particularly popular way to whiten teeth. The reason: they are easy to use, have a short application time and the first results are visible after just a few days!

How they work: First clean your teeth, then stick the strips on the upper and lower row of teeth and, depending on the desired result, leave the whitening strips to work for between 10 and 30 minutes.

Active charcoal: Whitening teeth in an everyday routine

Black charcoal for white teeth? That sounds rather paradoxical. But activated charcoal binds bacteria and dirt particles to itself. It also contains small abrasive particles that gently remove surface tooth discolouration. However, caution is advised for sensitive teeth!
There is either ready-mixed toothpaste or you can buy activated charcoal powder separately and add it to your toothpaste before brushing.

Bleaching kit: Whiten teeth at home with LED lamp

You want even more efficient and intensive results, but still want to whiten your teeth yourself? Then it may be worth investing in a bleaching kit with an LED lamp. This uses a special bleaching gel to lighten your teeth. The effect of the gel is enhanced by blue LED light. This is emitted by a lamp that you put in your mouth for the treatment.

How it works:Apply the gel to your teeth. Then bite down on the rail provided for this purpose in the LED lamp and start it. Depending on the manufacturer's instructions, leave the gel on for 15 to 30 minutes and then gently clean your teeth.

Important: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, especially if you have sensitive teeth.
