Hairbrushes from France
The history of Altesse began in the 19th century, in the Oise region, where it has continued to develop to this day.
For more than two centuries, the French know-how for making boar bristle brushes has been preserved. In the 19th century, dozens of companies along the Thérain valley produced these brushes. Water mills were used to transport the wood for making the brushes to the workshops.
Since then, transport methods have evolved, but the know-how and quality have remained.
